Safeguarding at Harlowbury

At Harlowbury Primary School, safeguarding is our highest priority. We work to ensure all pupils are safe in school, at home, online and in the wider community, promoting their wellbeing, confidence and independence.

All staff have a duty of care and follow child protection procedures if there are concerns about a child’s safety or welfare, working with Children’s Services where required.

Our Safeguarding Policy is reviewed annually, or sooner if updated guidance is issued by the Department for Education (DfE). The policy is monitored by designated safeguarding leads, who liaise with the local authority when necessary.

If you have any safeguarding concerns or a child makes a disclosure, please contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads as soon as possible. You can speak to us in person, call the school office, or email office@harlowbury.essex.sch, and your concern will be followed up promptly.
